About Us

My name is Blake Stevenson, I am the curator of the Sanus Benefits Portal. I have been in the employee benefits industry for over a decade, and I am a third generation employee benefits consultant. My grandfather helped me build my initial book of business by going out on client meetings, and coaching me on how to succeed in sales. This experience helped solidify a passion for assisting companies with their employee benefit needs.

At a certain point, my book of business was sold to a larger firm, and I was let go after some time for questionable reasons. One month before my daughter was born, I was unemployed and had no idea what to do. Either I could work for another consultancy firm, possibly build then lose everything again, or I could build my own. So I started building.

I have always seen a need in the market for a more self service model with more transparency and accessibility. Having worked at large benefit firms, and small family owned firms I knew the entirety of the process and the tools available to consultants currently. This made me the perfect or only person to be able to fully build something this comprehensive. With my deep industry knowledge, the passion instilled from the early days of appointments with my grandpa, and the drive burning in me by looking in my daughters eyes. I set out to build Sanus Benefits and havent looked back.
